It's like when an airline person mistakenly words the question, "At any point, has anyone had access to your luggage without your knowledge?"

 

Well, I did a song and dance and a ventriloquism routine. To see if it was entertaining, you'd have to ask the angel.

 

I truly believe I have, without going into a long story, I helped a person with a problem and when I turned to ask them a question there was no one there. it was very strange.

 

I am not sure about entertaining angels, but almost certain at least twice in my life one has intervened at the last split second to avoid a serious if not deadly accident. Once it was a car in motion that seemed to defy the physical, and another time, also in a car, a close call, it seemed like I saw something out of the corner of my eye. But who knows?

 

Well, I believe when I have had to go down the hall to have heart surgery and neck surgeries and my wife had to stop at the end of the hall that I had an angel with me. Always will believe that God had an angel go on with me and when I came back in about 2 days, My wife, an angel was still waiting at the end of the hall for me to come back all the surgeries I been through. She lay in the floor on a peice of foam for 42 days once, when they gave up on me. Another time 17 days and other times 11 days, 9 days, always there waiting for me to return. So yes, I believe I entertain one every day, My Wife.

 

Yes, and you shouldn't say those kinds of things about Brother Bob!

Seriously, I believe on a couple of occassions I have. There was a guy that I gave an encouraging word to when I looked back he was gone and there was little way for him to exit without me seeing. Another time I was given some encouragement at a tough time and the same thing.

I think it happens far too often and we don't realize it all too often.

 

When topping the pass on a totally black night in the middle of a blizzard when nothing was moving there was an old old pickup on the shoulder with the hood up. We stopped in case some poor person needed a lift. As I walked back in the blinding sloppy wet snow I made out an old timer. Looked like he had just crawled out of his mine to go for grub. He was sitting on top of the motor with a foot on each side of the motor.

He had a book of paper matches trying to find out what was wrong with his pickup. In high winds with wet snow the matches were barely lighting much less giving off with any light.

I dried the distributor and it started right up.

As I drove off into the storm I had to wonder what had just happened. Only God could dream up such a character and situation. Dunn know if he needed the tract I gave him or not?????

 

I know this is not what it is about on this threed. But I am going to tell you any way. Me and my wife was fishing one day. I was out there for three hours fishing for Large mouth bass. I did not even get a bite. my wife asked me if I think I would catch one. I cast my line and stoped and looked at her and said if it is the Lords will. By the time I got saying that I had a large one at the end of my line. I looked at my wife as I was realing it in and said that was weird. I got it up to the bank and the fish jumped and spit out my worm.. I was so mad at myself for saying that. I stoped and sat down and said I am sorry Lord for saying that. I looked at my wife and said the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away and blessed be the name of the Lord.

 

My wife and I had an experience at Shoney's one day...
Back around 1995 we were looking for a good pediatrician.. my oldest son was 4, then I had another son 1 yr old, and another one on the way...
The pediatrician we had was sent to prison for medicaid fraud, so we were seeking a good one..

We were discussing this, and a couple beside us overheard us.
They had a daughter named Tiffany.. the name we had picked out if we would have had a daughter. They started telling us about a new pediatrician in town.. Dr C. They said he had just opened up a practice, and they were one of his first patients...

We contacted Dr C. and he became our pediatrician... Also became a close friend.. he was a Baptist and took mission trips... When we started with him, he had around 20 patients... One day, we were just talking and told him how we found him... and he swore, he knew nothing about this family, or he had never had a patient named tiffany!

Later on his practice grew, and he brought on another ped... named Dr. G. Dr. C's son developed cancer, and his dad in NC became sick so DR. G. took over his practice...

It was Dr. G that got us through the ordeal with my son's seizures...

I think God sent some angels to guide us to through this period...
One named Tiffany....

 

No. And fie on these fantastic stories people want to tell. If they're there, they are worthless for keeping us out of serious harm. Or else I'd like to kick the butt (or does an angel have one?) of the one that didn't keep me from being mangled at age 14 and living these 30+ years the ways I've had to.

 

God must have had a reason for keeping you around - trust you are about His will. :thumbs:

Don't know your situation, but my father was paralyzed from the waist down at 21 and lived with it without knowing the Lord into his 70's. He had a very sweet attitude about life and was an encouragement to those that knew him. He heard the gospel a number of times before his death, we are trusting he made that very important decision.

 

For those discussing the existence or not being personally watched by spiritual guardians, I'm pretty sure the meaning of the story isn't that there are guys keeping watch over us on a personal safety level, but that you never know when you're in the prescence of God's envoys, so it's better to be safe and treat everybody you meet as one.
