I'm against abortion and gay marriage. I'm also against unjust wars like the one in Iraq. Abortion is not really the larger issue. The larger issue is sanctity of life. It's just as much against this Biblical position to kill innocent Iraqis in an unjust war or to apply capital punishment to an innocent person as it is to abort an unborn baby. I can't see how a Christian could support a party than supports these unBiblical policies. It's also unBiblical to not feed the poor and help the sick. Republicans don't want their money to go to these things. They'd rather it go to building up the U.S. military even though we already spend as much on our military as the rest of the world combined. How can self-professing Christians support this policy?

    What spin!!!

The "base" of the Republican party is comprised of Evangelical Christians. Evangelical Christians are the largest contributors of NGO to feed, clothe, educate, and provide medical care and disaster relief to poor and needy worldwide than any other group on the planet.

Your right abortion (murder of unborn children) is not a large issue; it is a SUPER LARGE ISSUE Christians take heed of this!

Is the war unjust? We did find WMD's or the makings, of course you could not find much media report on this.
I think it was fought wrong, but that is my opinion. It is unfortunate when innocent people are killed in war, but as far as the Iraqis are concerned I think more lives of the innocent have been saved than lost when compared with the reign of Saddam Hussein. But, if you were in agreement with Saddam then all of the hundreds of thousands he murdered were not innocent.

I support ministries with funds and time to feed and help the sick and poor. Through the church, which I believe is what Christ was referring too.

Discounting the expense of the war, I do not believe this is accurate.

However, I do know that self-professing Christians that use this as an excuse to support a party that murders 4,000 American babies (which is many, many times more than all the people killed in the Iraqi War when you count all sides) are just flat wrong.

I believe we could have had much less than 500 (worse case) deaths of our service men and women if we would have fought the war on offense instead of tippy toeing around after the first 4-6 months.

More than 90% of the service men and women were killed because the enemy was encouraged by traitorous remarks made by liberals in this country and the way the liberal media reported and exaggerated the war negatively. If you voted or supported these liberals you may as well been on the side of the enemy, pulling a trigger or strapping a bomb to civilians to kill our troops. (next time maybe I will tell you how I really feel)

None the less, I still love and pray for ALL my brothers and sisters in Christ. May our numbers increase for the glorification of our Lord.
