That should be outlined in your student handbook, and is probably posted on their website. My experience is that schools do offer refunds, but they are limited by time, the amount varies, and the type of fee in question matters.

Example:
Registration fees are rarely refundable.
Tuition for a specific class or term can be refunded but there is a cut off day, and the amount available drops based on the length of time you were actually enrolled.
