Featured Does Genesis 1:1 support Calvinism?

It is often the case that those who accuse others of doing certain things are actually themselves most guilty of it.

Such is the case with you here. You accuse Calvinists of dancing, and you dance like someone is firing bullets at your feet here.

Answer the question, do you think God is good to Satan. Do you think God is good to the demons that were once angels that fell from grace?

In other words did God, based on what you call his omni-benevolence, have to offer a way of life to them?

Once again, I think God is Good at all times! I think God will judge the demons righteously and will what they do while continuing in His ONLY purpose in creating the world in His Omnibenevolent Nature which is UNCHANGING!

I don't know what is offered to them other than righteous judgment in Truth. That judgment will be Just and Good, in Truth, because God is Truth in all His ways.

It still seems you have a problem with believing that God is fair and/or is not Omnibenevolent.

God is unchanging Omnibenevolent as with all His attributes with came forth throughout creation including the miracle in which He created creatures with human freedoms by which they will also be righteously judged according to their free actions in Truth. Nothing about any of this has or will change...

 

In the big picture sense. God is completely sovereign in all things, including creation.

 

Are you an open theist? Do you believe that God is bound by time and part of His being--His knowledge--is growing?

If not, do you believe that God knows the future exhaustively?
If so, then your position is one in which God is forced to create something He may not have wanted to create.

How is this, you ask? Because part of God's being--His knowledge--is defined and determined by creatures He would create, who would create their actions ex nihilo via "free will," which could be completely against God's ultimate desires! That's hard to swallow.

 

Your whole argument about this "omnibenevolent" stuff is that God basically has to, since his nature is omnibenevolent, offer salvation to all his creatures.

Then I ask you if God's "omnibenevolence" (whatever that is) means that he has to offer salvation to Satan and demons.

And you dance.

 

It does precisely as much as Pro 29:5 does:
A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.

Genesis 1:1 isn't even sufficient to disprove Deism...perish the thought that it supports "Calvinism".
In the sense that Calvinism is based upon Universally accepted and Orthodox views of God's aseity, in that it presumes Mono-theism, in that it assumes the Earth was created ex-nihilo, sure....so does Deism.

But, in the areas in which it departs from any other Orthodox and differing Soteriological view? No. Some verses are simply silent on a lot of topics. That's o.k. actually. Some verses teach certain truths....some verses teach other truths.
