This question is a continuation of a subject that came up in another thread in this section. This question has become as much political as it is Theological. Dr.Ergun Caner a former turkish Muslim who has converted to Christianity makes the answer to this question clear that even the politcal debate on this issue can be put to rest.

    The video link

The link was a great testamony.
but for those who don't want to watch the whole video.

In short, Not the same God.

First, Muslims hold different views on Jesus and his divinity
Second, christians can't earn God's favor.
Third, good works/worship are a result of love not fear.
Fourth, intimate relationship with God does not exist in Islam
Fifth, unmerited favor or unconditional love are not in Islam.
Sixth, Service in Islam is based on Legalism. Christianity is based on imitation.
    Seven, loving enemies is foreign.
Eight, the trinity does not exist.
Nine, Love explains why God deals with imperfection in people.

There is only one God. Is he going to send Muslims to hell for misinterpreting historical documents?

This sounds like about half the saved people that I know.

Do they worship the same God?

Are the people who claim that Muslims worship a different god also the same people who demand that "In God We Trust" remain on U.S. cash? Any one see a logical conflict?

No, he sends people to hell for refusing to come to Christ for salvation.

Why is this even being questioned on a Christian board?

    Short answer:no.

But, the true God has His people even among those in Islam.
The true God knows which of His foreknown will be born under Islam, and their being born under Islam will not stop His purposes for them.

Islam and Biblical Christianity are completely incompatible. Anyone who practices Islam who finds and trust in the Jesus of the Bible - those who are truly born again - will see that they cannot remain faithful to the Islam faith and Jesus.

To add to what Pastor Larry has already said, ALL who reject Christ, no matter how sincere they are in their own "faith" will spend eternity in a very real place called hell.

Islam's only hope is to turn to the Jesus of the Bible and be saved. Mankind's only hope is to turn to the Jesus of the Bible and be saved.
