If so what type of computer do they use? Windows or Mac? Our church does live streams (like many these days) and unfortunately uses Windows 10. But then again Windows is the default in the enterprise so no matter how much I prefer the Mac its just not used much in the world.

I have not used Windows 10 much as my last job used Windows 7, but perhaps my new job may use Windows 10. Not sure how Windows 10 compares to Mac OS High Sierra.

I hate Mac so I would say W10 is vastly superior.

My church live streams. I do not know what platform they use.

A better question is this--what possible difference does it make to an end user what platform the church uses?

It really doesn't matter (and in most cases you shouldn't even be aware of) which computer platform the church uses. The big key is to use a fast internet and stream provider. We don't lifestream but I know churches that do it with an iPhone and Facebook. :)

I always assumed most used Linux (I remember reading an article a few years ago that something like 70 to 80% of servers used Linux).

    Does your church live stream?

    No, just a regular baptistry.

Our church for many years did semi-annual baptism's in the Pacific Ocean (San Clemente beach area) but recently the local authority found a reason to stop our practice. But it was a powerful witness, for the beach was full of the unchurched and unsaved.

And yes, Alcott, your post was both pithy and funny. Thanks

We do a summer baptism in the ocean here off of Long Island at Robert Moses State Park. One year we were all gathered around the water watching people get baptized and a woman came up to me with her hands on her hips asking what we were doing. When I turned around, I was kind of shocked. She was topless. Seems she came down from the nude beach down a ways to see what was happening. We moved a field over the following year - further away.

Yes, we also encountered folks that were interested in disparagement and undercutting our outreach effort, but all in all, we thought it was an effective ministry while it lasted.
