The host of my website (for over two years) and through whom my domain is registered has 'disappeared' ....dont know if he lost his server or what.

No answer to emails. A registered letter to address that I had was returned. His website is gone, too. I cannot get to the c panel.

Anybody with expertise know how to get my domain name freed so that I can go to another host, maybe one and one ?

Do you have the server names that the domain is registered to?

Is the domain in your name? If not you will have to have him fill out paperwork to transfer it to you.

You might be able to find out his info by going to godaddy.com and search for your domain in their find window, then ask for the information (Usually a tab close by) and it will show who it is registered to and the server names.

Be sure to copy it all down if you find it.

If the domain is in your name you can go to a new server, give the information and be done.

    Others may have other ideas.
