I've never heard them use racial slurs. What do they have to do with Phil Kidd?

    ****
Anyway...lemme say this about Kidd...what I posted was firsthand with him. I wanted to be clear that it wasn't a gossip, "I heard that..." situation.

I'm pretty sensitive to racism. My parents weren't racist, but other family members (and lots of neighbors & fellow church folk) were. It bothers me--a lot--to be around racist folk.

I was younger when I heard Kidd scream...er, preach. Now, I'd probably get escorted out (or, more likely, beat up) because I'd have to confront him when I heard some of that garbage come out of his mouth.

Too much coffee can do that to you, I think. I drink tea.

If he is...I can't imagine he'd admit it. (either one...Jason wouldn't want a racist in his family, and Phil would be horrified that he had a relative that wasn't Caucasian).

But then again...if you were an evangelist, and you found out you were related to an NBA superstar...getting that feller saved & tithing would be PRIORITY ONE. :applause:

Talked with a buddy of mine today that lives in Amory, MS. Phil Kidd filled in at their church for a while.

I don't know, but he sounds like he might be related to Billy the Kidd.

First off, I am not defending the man.

I have over 90 messages by i'm and haven't heard the dreaded "N" word one time in any of them.(not saying he hasn't)

He is very animated and uses little scripture to back up his sermon.

I like listening on occasion for illustration sake, comic relief and outline structures.

I wouldn't sit under him as a pastor/teacher, he seems shallow on doctrine.
Standards seem to be the root of most preaching he does, may be a smoke screen... I haven't heard him recently now that is is a pastor, maybe his demeanor has changed.

I was saved one day in my truck at work while listening to him. Yeah, I am really saved...
