Today I went to church with the youth in my workplace, which is a different place where I normally attend church on my own. I have been to this church on several other occasions, with the youth I work with, so I am familiar with the services "norm".

I found that the Easter services were exhilerating, and though I thing they dabbed it a little because it was EAster, I was thrilled to see that they invest on a regular basis to make sure their services are worshipful every Sunday, and especially on Easter. I didn't feel that Easter was for show, like I have at some churches (since we know some people only attend church on Easter and Christmas.)

The service, during the music time with both congregational music and choir songs, they showed video of scenes surrounding the death and resurrection of Christ. What a tremendous adaptation of visual with the audio!

How did the church you attend do their Easter Services?

We had a sunrise service at sunrise (duh) then served donuts and coffee afterward. Then we went back for the cantata and a homily type message aimed especially at those "easter lily" folks who only bloom once a year.

I guess "Easter Lily Folks" is a lot more politically correct than the term i use, "CrEasters"...since you only see them on Christmas and Easter!

BTW...I went to college in South MS, and that is also where i was saved, so it is my "Spiritual" home.

Tater, I had to read this twice. It's a good one.

"those "easter lily" folks who only bloom once a year. "

Our altar is actually filled with Easter Lilies that people purchase in memory or in honor of a loved one.

Some folks come to church and complain that the auditorium is ALWAYS decorated the same way no matter when they come.

Lilies or pointsettias . .
