Easter is the most important date in history, including Christmas. We have it backwards in our celebrations, even on the spiritual side. Baptist try to be so different than mainstream Protestant denominations, we refuse to celebrate any aspect of Easter. IMO, there should be a Lords Supper on Thursday evening, a Good Friday Service midday, a Holy Saturday service to commemorate the death and burial of Jesus Christ, and finally, a Sunrise service Sunday morning. Singing a couple of Easter hymns on Sunday morning is a very sad effort for an event such as this.

As Baptists I first wish we would stop calling it Easter and call it Resurrection Sunday. IMO which means nothing, just sayin....
