Fair play - it is a serious question, but your confrontational wording fed the humour.

If women are not doing their God ordained role of being "keepers at home"while they work in society God's plan is disrupted and and society will suffer.
Right.

There is no reason to think that women can't do both. Scarlett and I are both teachers.

My hours were such that I could be with my children -- who were for the most part at the same school I was at even.

In biblical times, women work much harder than modern women work. I cannot imagine what it took to keep the house going then, what keeping everyone fed and clothed entailed.

I hope you know I totally agree Bitsy :)

Has the elevation of women in society weakened our national security? Do we no longer have the resolve to defend our national interests to the finish? Has the abandonment of our children in the home by mothers who are more interested in a career than taking care of their own children created a menace for society? Has the church become so influenced by women that we have changed scripture to suit our own desires? Is the rise of homosexuality related to any of this? Is the structure of the home, church, and family addressed in the Bible? If so, are we following it today?

UHHH... No. It is not the women's fault...

Yep... we are following it today... for the most part.

My wife was a DUW (TM) when we were teaching Christian school, but I got her sorted out when we got to Ireland :) .

(Wish you could see the look I just got when I told her what I posting. You know that look when what you say doesn't merit a response ;) ? )

Serious questions made into a joke. There is a time for all things. I think we are living in a time where people need to take things more seriously, unfortunately humor and laughter rule. HA HA :tear:

Brother, I won't disagree with you that there are problems in our society that both men and women are responsible for.

And I took what you said very seriously.....because I can tell that men like you are very serious when you say it.

Go back and mull over what you said. You proposed, by questioning, that...
  • Women shouldn't be elevated to the status or worth of a man.
  • That our national security was threatened because of women being seen as having the same status and worth as a man.
  • That our country is weak and has no resolve to defend itself because of women.
  • Women who work outside their homes are purposefully and self-centeredly abandoning their children.
  • That a woman cannot have a calling from God on her life and be a mother at the same time.
  • That working women are a menace to society.
  • That women in general and their being viewed as just worthy before God as a man is somehow a cancer on the church and that the influence of women is causing scripture to be changed.
  • You related the influence of women with homosexuality.
You'd better believe that I took every single word, letter, and punctuation mark of your post very, very seriously.

Tiny came close to actually responding to my questions. Thank you for that. Can anybody copy and paste each question and answer it from your heart with some consideration rather than being a comedian. Thanks ahead of time.

You must have missed this post of mine earlier =

I am about to change my signature line to include "dang uppity woman".

I am about 95% positive that I am going to have a tee-shirt made with great big letters that say "DANG UPPITY WOMAN!!" on it.

When I get it made, I am going to take a picture of myself and use it as my new avatar.

Now I just have to decide what color scheme to use.....fall is coming up and maybe I should use earthy tones.......
