Encrypted Google Search

    Is there any way around this for tracking hits for keyword searches on your website? It's rather ridiculous.

    If you mean, disable the keyword encryption -- no. There are multiple theories as to why Google did this; one is in response to the NSA's snooping. But the most prevalent and most likely is to drive more people to Google's Adwords program.

    The only strategies offered at this time are to stop relying on keywords for your analytics. Use them to help with search (especially since Bing and Yahoo still don't encrypt them); but use things like Google's traffic analyzer, and pay attention to which pages people are visiting.
