Christians deserved to be entertained as well as anyone else... this is the thesis in a conversation I started with a church member yesterday. She said that the problem was that Christians wanted to be entertained by the secular world. I wanted to get some other opinions on this, as I'm just a regular guy who enjoys a church picnic for entertainment... or I could go see the new "Hulk" movie this weekend. Is it wrong to be entertained by such things? I don't think so... just my humble opinion. [IMG]

I enjoy entertainment with the best of them, when I choose to be entertained.

I do not have much time for "entertainment" for the sake of pure entertainment, but I am often entertained by what I do in life and at church. Somehow, in my bizarre world, this creates the fun for me.

As long as the entertainment isn't something that's offensive to God, I don't see anything wrong with it.

    Joshua,

I agree with you; although I feel that sometimes I am being a hypocrite when I am entertained by some movies that I know are not furthering The Kingdom. I've wrestled with the hypocrisy issue for some time, but have adopted more of a "live and let live" attitude now.

I enjoy a good movie just as much as anyone.
