Evangelical Baptist Officiated Kardashian Wedding

Not to sound unkind, but I really don't care about their marriage, who married them, or what they believe. I never even heard of the family until the media started plastering their names everywhere.

We are at war in several other countries. We are in serious financial trouble with prices rising every day. We have natural disasters all over the place, and Christianity is being attacked in every way possible. Yet all the media reports is about this wedding, about Tiger Woods or other celebrities, or about Michelle Obama's latest vacation. Seriously? None of those topics are important enough to even be worth discussing as news.

 

I will only be convinced that this is legit if Justin Beiber somehow played an important role in the ceremonies.

 

Ah yes, an intimate mass on the beach. Lovely.

 

I'm not knocking the wedding between----(who was it ???? ) Kim and Kris?? Yes, thats who it was!! Kim and Kris!!

But we've got to figure the media out on this one and we've got to figure US(Christians) out on this one, too

Here's what I see

Hollywood wants US to be just like them

We want Hollywood to be just like us

That way we won't have to totally turn our spiritual backs on them and they won't have to totally turn their carnal backs on us

We in the church want Hollywood to be just like us-----and we single out a few celebraties to focus our spiritual attention on----like---when we post a question on the BB forum concering-----JANE FONDA----is she saved-----then posters will post--something like----"WELL, I HEARD SHE GOT SAVED AND HAS REALLY TURNED HER LIFE AROUND!!"

Personally---I believe the media gave much more attention to Kimmie's wedding than they did to the recent English matrimony between the Prince and the new Princess

Yes---I believe Hollywood goes overboard in wanting US to be just like them and for them to be just like us----but thats neither here nor there, is it??????:saint::type:

Well, for the sake of their marriage, I do hope they are Christians and are trying to start their marriage off right. The pics I've seen of Kim K show her in very revealing clothes.

I think very few true Christians could survive Hollywood without ruining their testimony or becoming like their peers there.

My Marriage Fee Includes...

....The promise that if the marriage ends before "death do them part!" they owe me the full fee (that I waive at the time of the marriage).

So far, all I've ever officiated at are still together, except one, and that came when the wife passed away from breat cancer!

 

That is HIS fault. I NEVER perform a marriage without the couple getting premarital counseling- NEVER! Learned my lesson after the first one and I'll never do it again.

 

Premarital counseling, of course, isn't a silver bullet for relationships.

This is another sad example of the utter lack of respect so many celebrities hold for marriage. We, evangelicals, need to embrace a new ethic of vibrant, healthy marriages that will speak to how others see marriage.

 

Absolutely agree. It's hard to argue that gay marriage would denigrate the sanctity of marriage when you have hetero celebrities marrying and divorcing within months and having it plastered all over the media. It's a shame that an evangelical pastor got involved in this fiasco.

 

You could tell it was going to be a disaster.

He is 26 and wants to have a real home life.
She is like 34 and has the emotional maturity of a 3 year old and doesn't want to settle down.

Gee? I wonder why it didn't work?
