It is very encouraging to read of things like this. Excerpts:

    and

I am glad to see some are working to get us past the politics of divisiveness that have split the country apart.

Divisive means " I am offended by the clear truth, you need to doctor it up to be more palatable."

Anyway the neo-evangelicals of today are in fact progressives themselves. Acting like their are two groups coming together is just dishonest.

There are certain things that cannot be compromised on, and therefore, there is no common ground to be had.

I wonder how they plan to "prevent unintended pregnancies?"

"Be ye separate" is just another throw away verse to the liberals. God obviously didn't know what he was talking about.

Just because some group claims to be Evangelical or represent all Evangelicals doesn't mean that they ARE Evangelicals. It's just about gotten to the point that Evangelical (and many other terms or titles) means whatever you want it to mean.

Any group that wants to compromise on the clear teachings of God's word does not represent this Evangelical.

I'd rather be called a born-again follower of Jesus Christ or a man after God's own heart.

Well, it seems to me that there are areas of common concern where both sides can gain. Better to share a pie than to have no pie.

    They don't.

They plan on preventing unintended births.

"Evangelicals" that make a deal with the devil advance the devil's agenda.

    That's abortion. Plain and simple.

The devil wouldn't make the deal otherwise.

There is no common ground when it comes to the sin of abortion.

What is this "share a pie" nonsense I just read? Good grief!!

What about come out from among them and be ye separate or we are in the world but not of the world?

There is no common ground when it comes to killing innocent civilians in a pre-emptive, unjust war.

War is about killing and winning.

There can be no common ground until victory is achieved.

Whether or not any war is unjust is purely subjective . About 30% of Americans felt that we should not enter WWII, even after Pearl Harbor. "unjust" may just be the contemporary liberal word for it. I'm not sure what objection they used. Unjust, immoral , illegal, or just unwanted.

But the liberals in power wanted war and and got it.
