That is what everyone has been trying to tell him and in typical Evan fashion he is ignoring the advice and getting angry at people for pointing out how unwise he is being.

Thats all he said basically. He did not say I could not text or email a woman, he just said to be careful in how I do it.

But the woman is dead spiritually and seems to not want to get interested so no point in focusing on a dead person. I move on to others.

Evan, I have read the Doghouse thread. You are on dangerous ground in your marriage. You need to stop. Not change tactics. Full stop.

And texting women outside of your family appears evil. You cannot avoid that. It is today's society.

Love them and don't beat them with your beliefs. Show you care, that you are a friend. Be patient and gentle. Take opportunities to witness when they arise naturally. Do not force the issue.

    Be:
    Kind
    Patient
    Calm
    Never overbearing
    Understanding
    Never angry

I'm serious: what qualified that person as "the best advice"? What was the standard that you used to measure/compare that advice against all the others?

I don't care what the advice was, which is how you answered; I'm asking, when placed next to all the other advice you've received, what made his advice better than all the others?

I have this notion you won't answer me.

I predict when the people at work get tired of all the harassment from Evan they will go to his supervisor and get him fired. Then back to the out of work threads.

The male is not all that talkative but I am going to ask him to stop by the church booth during the carnival. The female told me in an email that she does not want to get involved with non work issues, however she offered to help me with any work issues or concerns that I have. This may have closed the opportunity to witness to her. However she wants to go to the Carnival and I also asked if she wants to stop by the Church booth.

Hate to say it, but if he continues I would not be surprised if threads seeking marital advice appear about the same time.

Concerning the quiet coworker. I do not know if you are an extrovert or an introvert. Having said that I know that there are times when silence speaks louder to we introverts than talk. You have to pick and choose very carefully when interacting with an introvert. Don't force the issue. It is like you are trying to befriend a wary deer who is always on the edge of flight.

There should be an ethical rule about derailing a thread with snarky comments that have nothing to do but show the petty attitude and self righteous hearts of the hijackers :tear:

All of you should find something more productive to do with your time. IMHO: :flower:
