    Johann Gerhard Oncken (1800-1884) has often been referred to as the European Baptist ‘pioneer’ and as the ‘father’ of the continental Baptists. One of his most frequently quoted statements was that ‘we consider every member a missionary’, leading to the well-known motto Jeder Baptist ein Missionar.

    Do you agree or disagree with Oncken?

    Never heard of him. But yes all are called to missions. Some at home, others abroad.
