Isn't it amazing how a bunch of folks can say words they don't even know what they are defined as?

A good dictionary might help them out.

:BangHead: Here's a little hint for you: word meanings change over time, and depending upon location on the planet.

In America, in the twenty-first century, "fag" is a derogatory slur used against homosexuals.

I would appreciate it if you all could keep up.

Here is a news flash for you.

When someone loves those "____'s", as you call them, they will warn them of what is coming. I choose to love them enough to warn them.

I also remember when "queer" meant something odd or different.

That seems to be an accurate description of the sexual proclivities of homosexuals.

"Homo" used to be a type of milk. Now , it is considered a derogatory term by homos..exuals.

I also remember God condemning homosexual acts. I think His condemnation could safely be translated as referring to homosexual acts as "sin".

When did God change his mind?

So the general concensus, if I am to understand what you all are saying, is that if someone is doing something you believe to be a sin, calling them derogatory names is Godly.

That is not love, and doesn't earn you the right to tell anyone they are going to Hell.

Trust me, those who are not Christian get told they are going to Hell by a lot of people. Thanks to supposedly well-meaning True Christians (tm), most of these people will not listen anymore. Approaching someone with Hell is ineffective. Approaching with love is.

But that isn't the same thing as calling someone a queer, fag, homo, or n*gg*r. I would think you all would know that...

As you have pointed out, the meanings and uses of words change.

    God's word hasn't.

I only consider homosexual acts as sinful because God consistantly condemns them.

Do you agree that performing homosexual acts is a sin in the eyes of God?

There's a case to be made both ways, and doesn't have anything to do with the original topic or my point concerning using derogatory terms against people.

One might think you were avoiding conceding a point.

Makes me wonder why some Christians are so afraid to answer a question no Christian should hesitate to answer.

How about you, MP? It's evidently too hot for Tragic to handle.

Do you agree that performing homosexual acts is a sin in the eyes of God?

I recommend remedial reading courses, carpro. I answered your stupid question.

No you didn't. The only reason you think it's a "stupid" question is that you are afraid of the answer.

A simple yes or no would suffice.

If you disagree, make your case for "no". I'd be very interested in that one.

Without derailing the OP, I can safely say that homosexuality is EVIL in the eyes of God.

God will not have to call them bad names, He will merely say "Leave, I never knew you."

And not telling a homosexual about their destination because you want to be PC and condescending to them and to your Christian brothers and sisters is just telling them that you want them to go to hell.

Unless of course that you claim that God has hardened their hearts and turned them over to their unnatural lusts . . .

In which case, you are in agreement with that thing called the Word of God.

    Thanks.

We don't have to worry about "derailment" of the OP. This is all dead on topic.

I am equally concerned for "Christians" that can't decide whether or not homosexual acts are a sin in the eyes of God.

If they don't think it is, then they would , of course, see no "evil" in a homosexual marriage and would naturally wonder why any clergyman would refuse to marry them.

I said that there are arguments for both sides. This is not a court of law, and nor is it Burger King. Just because you don't get the answer "your way" does not mean the question went unanswered. Again, remedial reading may help you in this endeavor.

This is all off-topic, and you know it. The sinfulness of a particular group of people has nothing to do with allowing them equal rights under a democratic system of law.

    I'm telling you, remedial reading.

    Not according to God's Word.

I'd still be interested in your argument for a "no" answer. I know it won't come from scripture, but I am curious as to what it is.

Not according to your interpretation of God's Word.

I should bother why? Is there a chance you would overcome your reading problem long enough to try and understand it?

More garbage from you and yours, mostly. Convince me it's worth the effort, and we'll talk.
