    BISHOP’S BIBLE, AD 1568
    AUTHORIZED VERSION, AD 1611
    One notices how beautiful the flow of the Geneva and how much of that exact wording is "borrowed" by the AV (who were revising, not writing, an English translation, to make it better). The stilted language of the Bishop's Bible is rejected by the revisors in 1611 for the Geneva.

    Whenever I pick up a translation I am not familiar with, this is one of the first places to which I turn, just to see how it is rendered.
    I have been in the "valley of the shadowe of death," and have felt His gentle care.
