We were attacked on 9/11/01. We are engaged in World War III versus al Qaeda. Afghanistan and Iraq will no longer be home bases for al Qaeda to kill thousands of our citizens within our borders again.

Sadat paid dearly for that, Galatian, remember? My mom and dad were in the Holy Land when he was assassinated. They'll never forget it. :(

He was a man of principle and courage.

And he will be remembered as a martyr for peace.

Jordan also has a peace treaty with Israel, don't they? Egypt is no one's friend. The Egyptian newspapers are full of threats and lies about both Israel and the USA. And don't forget that the USA is feeding Egypt.

Setting all that aside, I think that Carter was commissioned behind the scenes to take the ex-governor and go to the grave. I think that this is the new US propaganda line to pay Arafat quiet respect--speak well of the dead, etc. Some say that Israel made a deal to keep quiet about the death from aids and the Palestinians promised to keep quiet about the silly charge that Israel poisoned Arafat.

Carter was acting on orders from Bush, in my opinion. The US is dropping the case against Arafat. I think that the US should charge Arafat for killing the US Ambassador to Sudan during Nixon, not to mention the guy in the wheelchair that he pushed off the ship into the ocean.

Bush is nuts on Palestine. The last thing we need is another Arab state. The Europeans cannot afford to prop up the Gaza and a few rat-invested towns on the Bank. The best thing to do is encourage the Arabs to sell out on both the Bank and the Gaza and ask the Arab League why they don't want their brothers living with them?

It was Bush who visited Arafat's grave.

We can't do that. They might get mad and finance terrorists.

The Palestinian cause is lost. Without constant European donations, Palestine would collapse. The Gaza is too small to be a modern nation. The Arab League is an awful place to live; even Arabs want to live somewhere else--the problem is that they are such slaves of the devil that they want everyone to be a slave, too. So they try to impose their religion everywhere they go.

But that is a great link, Lady Eagle! I recently have come to the conclusion that it was oil blackmail that forced England's hand. I am re-listing you link:

Yeah, but what is the economic base of the city-state of Gaza? It would not be a tourist destination, would it? It would have to have hand-outs from Europe as it does now. The USA has to supply the military while Europe huddles in welfare states and then puts Gaza on welfare. Ha!

We have evidence that Iraq was a home base for al Qaeda?

I didn't know that. Could someone please reference me to that evidence?

Al Quaeda Training camps which were destroyed by our military.

    Abu Nidal.

What further proof do you need?

They might not have been the home base, but they were certainly allies in terrorism.

What do you mean, "If so.." The Camp David Accords of 1979 are in place. After reading your contributions to this thread I had to ask myself if this guy has any knowledge of just the last 25 years. Egypt and Isreal fought three wars. Carter brokered a lasting peace between them. Facts.

The 9/11 terorists trained in the USA. That doesn't make us guilty of sponsoring terrorism. I don't think that there is any evidence that Iraq was a willing haven for terrorists. Pakistan, maybe...but we take orders from them and aren't allowed to cross their border.

You should keep up with the news. Do a google. Do something. Iraq was a haven, a vacationland, a hospital, and a training base for every evil thing going on in the Islamofascist world. Oh, Peroutka didn't tell anyone that, did he? They were trying to buy yellow-cake uranium in Africa--no, that's not like the yellow cake you had at your birthday party.

Dream about what? I don't have time to document for you this morning what Powell and others said. It really is beyond debate. Saddam welcomed everything that crawled into Iraq. As for the yellow-cake, the British established that with the Butler Commission.

    Wake up, CP! It's daytime!

Don't you read the news either? Do you have a search engine? Yes, of course. Search out the Butler Commission and read the report. And search out something like Powell Iraq terror or cia iraq terror. I would oblige but I have to leave for work shortly.
