That assumes that Paul did not paint the bad light himself. Paul is the one who made the mistake here. It is not wrong to point that out. You guys who support Paul need to at least see clearly enough to see that his misspoke in the way he presented it.

No, he did not misspeak, I think you just don't like what he said.

Dr. Paul did not paint it that way. His comments are being misconstrued by some, and outright misrepresented by others.

Surely you do not believe that the U.S. has done nothing bad to people in the Middle East over the years.

If anyone on that stage is in a position to say what caused 9/11, it is Dr. Paul. He is the one that serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The fact that Giuliani lived through the attacks has no bearing on whether or not he knew the reasons they were carried out. Many people in New York and Washington also lived through the attacks and have very different viewpoints on the reasons than Mayor Giuliani does.

The fact is, the Mayor is not a foreign affairs expert. Dr. Paul is.

Alex Jones has interviewed Ron Paul many times, many many times. I've listened to quite a few of them. Ron Paul is always very reserved in his responses to Alex's questions and statements. Alex has always been a Paul supporter and has helped him build a huge internet following.

That makes them both thorns in the globalists side. Of course they're both going to get "the treatment" by the elites corporate mass media and their minnions.

Check out what Hannity does to Ron Paul in this video

Amen. And that includes Saint Ronald Reagan. (We financed OBL under his administration, for one.)

Ron Paul did misspeak. No objective person can deny that. His content may have been factually correct, but it was an absolutely horrible way to put it.

On top of that, he justified the senseless murder of 3000 people. It does not matter what we have done over there. Nothing, absolutely nothing, justifies the murder of 3000 people.

Ron Paul just messed up. He should issue a statement clarifying that he did not intend to blame Americans for what happened. He simply was pointing out that what happened was the response to previous incidents. Ron Paul should fire his campaign manager and PR people for not fixing this immediately.

Are you serious? He justified the murder of 3000 people? Are you familiar with the concept of two wrongs don't make a right? All he said was they were attacking us for a reason. It's not a hard thing to understand. Maybe he was a little over-optimistic that Americans respect truth more than spin and good hair, but he doesn't have anything to apologize for and there is nothing to fix except apparently the publics unenlightened understanding of why these Muslim nations might desire to inflict damage on American interests. You could say it is because they hate our freedom, or because they hate stars and stripes, and it would be equally false. They hate American intervention in their countries. Whether American intervention is warranted is not the point, and whether they are justified in retaliating in the manner they are purported to have retaliated is not the point either.

Do you suppose that the Japanese believe we dropped the bomb on Hiroshima because we hate sushi and chopsticks?

I completely disagree. They target weak nations, or those they percieve to be weak. Didn't really work out for them in '67, but they keep trying.

Which came first, Isralei aggression, or aggression against Israel ?

Everything that Ron Paul stated during the segment with Benito Giuliani was accurate. Anyone who doubts it needs to read the 9/11 Commission report. If Ron Paul is a wacko because of what he stated, then so are the members of the 9/11 Commission.

    yes.

Yes, that is what is sounded like, and he did not clarify it. He said in essence, since we were over there, they came over here. Which sounds a lot like They were justified in doing it because we did it to them first. That is why I say he misspoke and did not clarify it.

    yes.

I agree, and that makes me wonder why you don't understand. Listen, he misspoke and did not clarify.

This is really a pretty simple issue. I am not telling you what he meant to say. I am telling you what he came across as. And I was looking for reasons to support Paul.

Rudy Giuliani should be sent to a corner and not allowed to say anything more until the election is over. Rudy tried grandstanding, I am not suprised that Hannity bought into this but if people continue to swallow the swill that Giuliani and Hannity has to offer then we are most certainly looking to further our slide from a once great Nation to third world status. Giuliani should have never interupted Ron Paul , it was grandstanding and the man has no shame.

Did the terrorist have a reason to attack us on 9-11/? Yes!

    Was it a legitmate reason?No!

By the way, Eric Dondero, mentioned in the OP is a compromiser claiming to be a libertarian.

    Here is his website:

    www.mainstreamlibertarian.com/

Here is a link on his website:

    www.gaypatriot.net/

And he is a Giuliani supporter:

    www.rudylibertarians.com

Anyone who claims to be a libertarian and supports Giuliani isn't a libertarian.

It also explains why he went after Ron Paul. If I were a Giuliani supporter([IMG]) I would have gone after Ron Paul, too, since Giuliani showed his ignorance of what was stated in the 9/11 Commission report.

If Ron Paul would have clearly stated this, it may have been a different story, but he clearly messed up and didn't fix it.

We shall see as we go along in both parties. Vilsack has withdrawn, and in my home state of KY, current State Treasurer, actually a very honest man, IMO, whether or not I agree with all his positions, Jonathan Miller (and running mate Jefferson County AttorneyIrv Maze), has withdrawn from the Governor's race to be held this fall, here.

"Kinky" got beat in Texas, but fortunately in KY, we still have "Gatewood" in the race for Gov.

No, he didn't. Ron Paul spoke quite clearly to anyone with the ability to understand the English language. The fact is that Giuliani didn't want to understand. He wanted to find a way to get the heat off of him for his liberal stances on issues.

Vote Hemp seeks the full normalization of and a free market for industrial hemp in America. Vote Hemp's mission is to educate consumers, business owners, farmers and legislators about the many benefits of industrial hemp and to mobilize voters to elect pro-hemp politicians. Hemp is one of the few issues on the national debate that enjoys tremendous bipartisan and cross-cultural support. Democrats and Libertarians, Greens and Republicans, farmers and hippies, global corporations and small mom-and-pop businesses are all part of the broad coalition in favor of industrial hemp.

They all have one thing in common: an education in the facts.

In the early 1990s a sustained resurgence of interest in allowing commercial

cultivation of industrial hemp began in the United States. Farmers in regions of the
country that are highly dependent upon a single crop, such as tobacco or wheat, have
shown interest in its potential as a high-value alternative crop, although the economic
studies conducted so far paint a mixed profitability picture. Over the past decade,
more than 25 states have passed laws calling for economic or production studies.

Personally, I would go further and would like to see marijuana itself legalized.

Being fairly proficient in the English language, I can testify with absolute certainty that Ron Paul messed up by not being clear. He needs to step up and clarify. It's not that Ron Paul was necessarily wrong in what he said. It was that he did not communicate clearly.
