We have a mission here on Long Island where the Gospel is preached as people wait on line to get much needed food. They don't walk away with a tract but instead cereal, baby food, canned meat and fresh veggies. Now THAT is the kind of street preaching I can get behind!

You mean your actions are a testimony to your message???!!!!! That is a very biblical method of evangelism.

Few seem to ignore me these days. Last time out I had a audience and a number of hecklers whom applauded when 2 people did something inappropriate right near me.

That is what I said. You posted that you quit drinking for your wife (a few days ago in answer to my post). I applaud your faithfulness.

I am cynical by nature. The statement strikes me as lawyerspeak, but do I hope that he is showing his Wife respect by abstaining.

Have you stopped church-hunting apart from your Wife for the sake of her convictions?

I was also thinking of Evans reply to Ann's very biblical method of evangelism. But I am right there with you in the cynical club . He certainly seems to be backing off that "I quit drinking" statement.....but that would mean he lied on the other thread. And what is "is" anyway......

She's already provided an answer: ... "a mission where the gospel is preached."

local news channel had a story tonight about a church group (didn't catch which denomination) having an event where they were giving out back packs and supplies for "back to school" for needy families. They interviewed a lady with what appeared to be a 10 to 12 year old son with face painted whiskers. Her statement was "yeah they tell you about God, and all that stuff". :BangHead:
