Well, I have to say, I love Facebook... (not so thrilled with the new look, but will get used to it)... our state convention's ministers are slowly getting on facebook, and we are able to keep up with each other... We have a close friendship, but because of being spread out over the state, we only get to see each other at state events.. or the annual meeting in Oct... but now...

With Facebook we are better connected... this has to be good.

Then I am finding friends I lost a long time ago.

    Facebook is wonderful...

I agree, there are people I haver reconnected with I haven't seen or spoken to in 20 years. I don't know why anyone would not want to be part of facebook

I do hate the new look (which is here to stay unfortunately) :tear:

I like facebook because I'm been able to reconnect with old friends from high school. My best friend and I lost contact, and haven't seen each other or spoken for over 20 years. It was such a surprise to find her!

The new facebook stinks, but I'll eventually get used to it.

I have no one to reconnect with, no one to stay in touch with, no friends to connect with, we thought there were people at our old church we wanted to stay in contact with, but when people from that church see me out in town they ignore my existance, no one there to stay in contact with. Even people we've loved for 17 yrs.
See, facebook is not for me.

    Facebook isn't for everyone.

But, I am glad I have it, and have reconnected with many people from my past, even ones whom I wasn't sure how we left it.

Heaven is going to be like that, too. Reconnecting. Donna, I hope that will start making things work for you right now. Because heaven will be a party!!!

    That is horrible!
    People can be so mean.

But you would be surprised at who is on facebook.. Go to the friend finder and run some of your high school friend's names... You may be surprised.

A couple months ago, on myspace, I led a friend of mine from high school to the lord over myspace.

Your posts are very bitter, Donna. It's not always the other person, you know. Any lack of friendship either in your every day world or online is a two way street. That might be blunt, but I'm not one to beat around the bush. That is a fact. I'm sorry about your experience in your town, btw. You would expect more from professing believers...

FWIW, I was suspended for 10 days in part for defending you quite colorfully against someone who made some very rude comments about you in a post this past spring.

I had no idea. I guess I should say, and do say thank you.
But your post here is the reason I don't often post in more friendly threads that aren't debate, unless it's in the WPF. People will not let you be friendly.
