For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect. Romans 4:14

For, if those of the law be heirs, on any account of works, what then? Faith is made void. Faith fixes upon the sole work of the Son of God. By faith we become joint-heirs with Christ, enter in and possess the hope of eternal life. We are in actual possession of it. Hence we are filled with joy and peace in believing. That soul, who is striving by any works or doings of his own, to make himself an heir of, and get a title to God’s kingdom, he sets aside Christ: he makes faith void. He is far under the law, and the promise is made of none effect.

Faith is according to grace, thus trusting in Christ does NOT make faith void. God doubles down on this truth by crediting some with righteous faith!

Pay no attention to those who would remove Romans 4:16 from their bibles.

Do you agree with that at all?

If your question is addressed to me, no, I do not agree with Van when he claims that faith is credited and not the righteousness of Christ to God's elect. I no longer respond directly to Van's posts on this board.

Salvation is by grace alone, through faith in Christ alone!!!!!!!

Stop asking questions which imply I believe in false doctrine. Quote me saying something you disagree with. And then from scripture demonstrate it is wrong.

    Abraham had "Faith".

"Faith" in something, or just "Faith"?
