    Except that remark was made by Lake, Blake, and New regarding the *Byzantine* MSS found at various monasteries. It had *nothing* to do with the various "families" or texttypes of MSS in general.

    Askjo: "W-H invented four families of MSS."

    No they didn't. Those "families" were already recognized as early as the time of Bengel and Griesbach, before Westcott or Hort were even born. Scholz in fact specifically favored the "Constantinopolitan" (= Byzantine) family over the "Alexandrian" as early as 1836.

    It would be nice if KJVO advocates would only get their facts straight. :cool:
