    Tom,

Is it true that we will be allowed only 15 moves?

Where do we go to register?
    Is it open for anyone?

    Outsider, here's what you do.

    Go to yahoo.com.
    Find the Fantasy Sports section
Click on "Football '08 Play Now"
Click "Get another team or league"
When prompted, you'll need to put in the ID # of the league, not the name, and the password that Tom put in the OP.

I'm not the commissioner, but I think I can safely say that the league is open to any member of the Baptistboard.

The league is open to any member of BB in good standing, pending a credit check and chest x-ray. :)

The number of moves will likely be tweaked, but will not be unlimited. There may be some additional tweaks here and there, all done well ahead of time. Shouldn't be too major.

Please post in here when you register. We have to have an even number of teams per Yahoo rules for head-to-head, so if we're at an odd number, we'll have to move on without the last team to register. So register early and often :)

Is there a reason why you are limiting the number of moves? Just wondering thats all

    I'm curious about that, too.

If memory serves, we have always had a limit. It was an oversight that we didn't have a limit in the baseball league. I've gotten more than one complaint about that.

I'm willing to entertain raising it. I'm a benevolent dictator

I would love to join, but the only way would be if the draft could be held on an evening. If you end up needing more people and everyone was open to an evening draft, I would be available.

No, we didn't. There have been no limits on any of the BB leagues that I've been in since 2006.

    Interesting.

    I'll look into the limit.

It's hard to change a draft once the draft time is set. Saturday evenings can take people away from family times, and if a draft runs two hours, it's tough to find an evening time that can accomodate all the folks across the different time zones. I want to accomodate as many as possible, though. Truthfully, I don't know how well that time would work for me, but it seemed to work best for more than just a majority last time.

There's still room everyone! Tell your fellow BB members about it.

I would love to get in on this too, but I have a couple of questions that need to be addressed before I plan on submitting a barage of trash talking you guys way.

    1. How much money is going to be changing hands? I don't put together an unstoppable team unless there are large sums of money wagered. I am an usher two Sunday's a week I need to know exactly how much to remove from the plate in order to cover.

    2. I will not play unless I am assured first pick. That being said, I will make my selection now. With the first pick of the 2008 Baptist Board Fantasy Football Draft ShotGunWillie selects.....Rex Grossman.

Given #2, I'd say you will be a WELCOME addition to the league!
Feel free to submit your picks for the following guys early. They tend to go quickly:

    Ken Anderson
    Bart Starr
    Ken Stabler
    Dick Butkus
    Jared Lorenzen
    Michael Strahan
    Barry Bonds

As for question #1, I think a thousand per week should cover it on a normal week.

Last call for registrations for this year's Fantasy Football league. If we don't have anyone else join us in a few days, I'll close it to new registrations and we'll do our draft lottery. We haven't had anyone join in a while, so just one last call for any late deciders!

In order to relieve the pressure on everyone, I'll just go ahead and take the first pick in the draft.

That's good. I always say that every league needs a pigeon.
