We had one of these threads back in '04. Things have changed a bit since then.

Basically, what are your extensions that you use, and what are your favorites of them.

    Here's mine:
The top two sections are "have to have".

From the bottom, Colorful Tabs, Download Statusbar, Gmail Notifier, and Smilet Xtra would be great recommendations. Well, all of them are, actually.

Personas for Firefox is pretty neat. It lets you choose skins on the fly that you don't install. Choose one and it downloads and displays right them. Pretty neat.

Holy cow, it must take an hour to start FireFox!

By comparison, I must keep my lean and mean. I use...

    • BugMeNot - To log into annoying websites that require registration for no reason
    • Clipmarks - To save important snippets from the web for later reference
    • CustomizeGoogle - I don't know why--maybe I'll delete this one. :)
    • Firebug - For web development testing
    • Foxmarks - To keep my bookmarks syncronized on all 3 computers
    • Google toolbar for Firefox - Indispensable search tool
    • Greasemonkey - For subduing the occasional annoying web sites
    • StumbleUpon - For killing time.

Nah. About 7 seconds. And that's on a s939 dual core. If I were running a C2D or a C2Q it would be a lot less.

I used to have Firebug, but never used it. I replaced it with Flagfox... it shows you what country the website's server is in by displaying its flag in the lower right corner.

I keep meaning to try Greasemonkey, but haven't got around to it.

    I have ...

    BBCodeXtra
    Fasterfox
    Download Manager
    Foxmarks
(I have others, but find I don't use them)

... and I do find Firefox to be pretty speedy!
