One more point:

That this sin is grievous when committed by those who not only claim to be Christians but leaders in the Christian community is in the same sense that Jesus said to Pilate

John 19:11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.

Judas had a greater knowledge of Scripture than Pilate.

There are those within professing christianity that claim that homosexuality is not a sin but an "alternative life style" that is what this thread is about. This so-called life style being condemned in both the Old and New Testament Scriptures and the punishment that God has meted out against it singled out as an example for all the world to behold:

2 Peter 2:
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

Jude 1:
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

For someone who claims to know the Scripture and speak of sodomy as an "alternative life style" has joined sides with the world in that they make God as it were a liar, attacking His character and the integrity of His word.

It is one thing for a homosexual to admit his/her sin and even to be in a struggle to overcome it but to call God a liar after having seen the Scriptures so that one can continue on in the state of committing sin is a "greater sin" in the same sense that Jesus used the same words.

They know the truth but deny it, even worse they campaign against it.
