[IMG]"Just imagine what would happen if Bobby Rush was a white representative trying to put in a white man in a position like this. They would call it racism," he points out. "How are you going to determine what color the person should be rather than who is most qualified for that position?"

Apparently all the matter in this country is race, qualifications certainly don't.

That is what got Obama elected. Qualifications did not matter.

My concern about who replaces President-elect Obama in the Senete is that good ole Gov. Blagojevich will give it to someone who's only qualification is that they gave alot of money to Blago's war chest.

Why is this not racism? Why said it wasn't?

What Bobby Rush did. Demanding a black person replace Obama?

Sounds like a racist view to me... I applaud Jesse Lee Peterson for taking a stance.

    Apparently!

At least before today, it was going to be all about the "skin color" of Green backs.

That's the only color that Gov sees, GREEN!

That Chicago political machine is something to behold. I guess Obama wouldn't pay for the one he backed so the Gov is recorded saying "expletive him".

Well, you got half his quote right... ( :D but should :tear: )

I bet this governor would be a racist...if there were enough money in it.

Talk about someone selling their soul...

    Exactly.

Nor did he have the right political adviser of the seat, either.

I believe this shows the exact words, when spoken in an extremely loud manner, to be -

    "Money Talks!"

The thing I find most disconcerting about this is that this occurred in the state from which such as Abraham Lincoln, Adlai Stevenson(s) I, II, and III, Paul Douglas, Charles Percy, Everett McKinley Dirksen, Paul Simon, Philip Crane, and Dennis Hastert all served with distinction, in the Government with most of them, at one time or another, in the US Congress.

A;though I guess I should not be too surprised, considering that this state also has produced such outstanding ethical stalwarts as "Hizzoner", the late Mayor Richard J. Daley, Frank L. Smith (whom the Senate twice refused to even seat, even after he had won an election, because of corruption), Carol Mosley Braun, Dan Rostenkowski, Dan Crane, a string of most of the last several governors (from both parties), and Jack Ryan, no??
