This is an execerpt from Arnold's views on the issues. I hope you Conservatives that voted for Arnold, just because he is a Republican now realize what you did. You had a chance to vote for a decent man, but you chose Arnold.

Here are Schwarzenegger's views on issues ranging from taxes to offshore oil drilling.

TAX CHANGES: Favors repealing the recent tripling of the car tax but has not provided many specifics about making up the lost revenue beyond saying he would curb Sacramento's culture of spending.

NEW REVENUES: Is opposed to raising taxes and says he would immediately audit all state spending. Says taxes could be raised in the case of a state emergency.

WELL IT LOOKS LIKE GOD PROVIDED A STATE EMERGENCY TO FURTHER BANKRUPT AN ALREADY BANKRUPT STATE. REMEMBER AS GOES CALIFORNIA, SO GOES THE REST OF THE UNITED STATES. WHO'S NEXT.

I thought God chose our leaders. Why are you questioning Him?

I'm not sure what the big deal is. Everything you say that he said sounds perfectly reasonable to me. It's basically what Ronald Reagan did and the economy skyrocketed.

Oh no, taxes to pay for government services? I think even King David taxed the people.

Don't you get the point. The only thing that Arnold was conservative about was on tax policies and economic growth. The really important things he is as liberal as possible. Pro babykilling, pro sodomite marriage, etc. Californians spent millions to get rid of what they had, yet elected justy about as bad, when they could of had someone who had morals ond convictions. Arnold said NO NEW TAXES except in case of state emergency, so God just gave them one.

It is not about taxes it is about rebellion against God.

1)Isn't Arnold's position that he supports civil contracts, not marriage?

2)Accepting your anti-Arnold smack talk for the moment, actually they couldn't. As evidenced by the vote count, McClintock would not have won.

3)I know this is much to the chagrin of your right-wing theocratic political beliefs, but neither the federal government nor the government of any of the fifty states or the District of Columbia are, nor were they intended to be, a theocracy run by Christian clerics.

Youre right. Arnold is FLATLY AGAINST same sex marriage. Those who say atherwise are outright liars and spreaders of gossip and rumor, which is a clear sin in the Bible.

The abortion issue is a complete nonissue, since it's a federal issue, not a state issue. Arnold was, however, flatly against bartial birth abortion, and favored passage of the recent federal bill. Still, however, his opinion on that was a non-issue, since that, too, was a federall, not a state, issue.

As for revenue to fight the fires, Arnold said VERY CLEARLY during his campaign that he would work to not raise taxes, but recognized that, if there were a disaster/emergency, raising taxes might be necessary. The cost of the fires is 9 million per day. I understood then, and I understand now, that this is a disaster that may necessetate a chunk of tax money. In other words, I wanted a governor who would be honest, and I got one. What's there to be disappointed about?

As for rebellion against God, I fail to see how securing tax money to fight a fire is a rebellion against God.

It's increasingly clear to me that, if you're a, ultra right wing conservative, you'll be allowed to post your viewpoint freely, but if you're a left wing liberal, you'll be banned from the board. Thankfully, I'm a moderately conservative centrist, and not one to give in to the extremeness of political parties.

Then take it up with God if you have a problem with it.

Ya know Jailminister, I have seen many posts from you having to do with CA, and I just gotta ask:

    WHAT'S IT TO YA?!

Were you involved in the recent recall? Did you vote here? Are you looking at paying $1,500 bucks to register your car for a year?

If the answer is no, then that means you DON'T LIVE HERE, right?

We residents of CA appreciate your concern, but all this worry isn't good for you. Let go and let God. ;)

Ken and JohnV, Please ask yourself. What is the difference between "civil Unions" and "sodomite marriages". Basically nothing. The problem of BIBLICAL proportion is that they say a lifestyle of perversion is ok. Arnold thinks that lifestyle is ok. McLintack said it is wrong. BIG DIFFERENCE. While the governor can not change abortion laws, if any challenge to the constitution about abortion takes place then he would be pro babykilling. If a constitutional admendment ever gets thru congress outlawing abortion and Arnold is governor then he could stop state approval of it. Mclintock would not have.

Rome, The reason that things concern me is simple. Arnold has already gone to Washington to get OUR MONEY.

1)The difference is in semantics. I prefer that the word "marriage" retain its meaning of a husband and a wife. It has symbolic significance. I know that is not sufficient for you, but that is the way society is headed to deal with this issue. You can try to stop it but I don't think you will succeed.

2)I don't know about California but I think in most states proposed amendments to the U.S. Constitution are voted on by the legislature, the governor doesn't have a vote on it. Also, I doubt the U.S. Congress will ever pass such an amendment, especially not during the next three years that Arnold is governor of California.

Hey, Jailminister, just to be fair I think you should give your critique of the governors of the other 49 states. [IMG]

If the Constitutional admendment passed in Congress then the Governor signs it also.

You can go along with "pervert unions if you want to, But I will just keep on standing against it.

Just to be fair, I don't have to critique any one else. The point is that God's Judgment is upon California and in turn on this country for its rebellion against HIM.

1)Whether he signs it or not is totally irrelevant. You really need to research such statements before you make them.

    From the U.S. Constitution:

    Article V

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress; provided that no amendment which may be made prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article; and that no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.

2)Can you name a country that is not in rebellion against God and whom God's judgment is not upon?

KenH, I may be wrong, but it is my understanding thaat the governor has to approve the admendment also. However His influence is still there, either way.

As for as comment # 2, There may not be any country that is not rebelling against God, but that does not change the fact that when people have a chance to do right and they don't then they must suffer the consequences. The fires are of that nature.

And just how do you know that? When something bad happens to you, does that mean God is striking you for some rebellion on your part. You presume an awful lot.

I think you need to read the book of Job in the Old Testament.

Then answer my question: When something bad happens to you personally, does that mean God is striking you for some rebellion on your part? And if you say yes, then how do you figure out what your rebellion is that you are being struck for?

    KenH queried
"Something bad" is a broad statement, but let's look at it as God looks at it. Is it bad because I think it is bad or is it bad because God is trying to correct me. Not everything that is bad is bad. My daughter had terminal cancer when she was 4 years old. They gave her 2 months to live. She went thru chemo, radiation, about 14 surgeries. Was that bad, yes. Was that for rebellion, no. We just celebrated my daughters 17th birthday last night. God healed her. She still has some problems due to a reaction to the chemo, but she is alive and the cancer is gone. PS every other child that had that cancer my daughter had has died. God is good. Now how do you know if it is because of rebelion or not, easy, just pray and seek God for the answer. He will let you know. As far as this California thing goes(and is easily aplicable to the USA as a whole), California had a chance to do the right thing and did not. God is merciful, but His judgment is sure.

The following is from the King James Bible. It is not copyrighted but I did get the quote from this source:

So if California had elected Mr. McClintock the fires would not have happened - is that what you are saying?

That is absurd as the Bible teaches it is God Who puts leaders in place and it is God Who removes leaders.
