    I kinda like New Hampshire & FLA is OK Jan thru March. & if you want real wildlife, come to New Jersey.....take ya to Newark & Camden:eek:

    We are starting to get a lot of bears up here. I almost hit one on the highway one night, he was huge! He wasn't afraid of me at all, just walked lazily across the highway.

    We have deer, foxes, lots of raccoons, coyotes, and recently there have been several reports of mountain lions, one was struck and killed by a car recently. We have bobcats, and very occasionally moose. One night I was sure I saw a wolf, but nobody believed me.

    Took me a long time to get used to the long cold winters here, but now I am beginning to enjoy them. I have gone down to the Carolinas and Florida a few times the last few summers and couldn't deal with the heat. So, I guess my blood has thickened.

    I lived by a golf course in Jacksonville, they had lots of ponds with alligators, they were about 5-6 feet long. Big enough to eat dogs and be a danger to children. When they got bigger they would catch them and take them down to the Everglades.

    We had lots of snakes, I got bit by a water moccasin when I was 13, made my foot turn black as coal. Took several months to get better. I hate snakes.

    One of the most beautiful states is New Mexico. The scenery is stunning. Last year, we took the tram from the the base of Sandia Mountain to the crest. What an experience!!
