I am proud to have served as a Board Member of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England. I understand women’s health, and I will defend the right of women to control decisions about their own bodies. I want to keep politics out of medicine.

    In contrast, George W. Bush is openly hostile to a woman’s constitutional right to choose. Last year, President Bush signed into law the so-called Partial Birth Abortion bill, the most far-reaching attack on a woman’s right to choose in the thirty years since the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade. As a physician, I know that there is no such thing in the medical literature as “partial birth abortion.” But there are rare times when a doctor is called upon to perform a late-term abortion to save a woman’s life or protect her from injury. The new law makes it a federal crime for a doctor to perform such medically necessary procedures. It will chill the practice of medicine and endanger the health of countless women."

    Since a baby and a mother are both living souls, it is a most difficult decision as to who will live and who will die in cases where the mother's life is in danger. Thank God this is not the majority of times when this happens.

    What about the babies within the mother who are destroyed at the hand of a doctor who aborts God given life. As a Christian you could not give me $3,000,000. to assist in aborting the innocent one, not even one baby. For a Christian doctor aborting babies on demand is an impossibility.

    And for those who are sinners who abort babies--at their death they will split Hell wide open and will get their due reward from Almighty God.

    I have a different perspective on [medical murder or the cutting and scraping of unborn children] than other politicians because of my medical training and my experience as a family doctor. I am proud to have served as a Board Member of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England. I understand women’s health [but will admit nothing with regard to the life of the unborn], and I will defend the right of women to control [such murders within] their own bodies. I want to keep politics out of [murder].
