You're not the only one dear. Goin' through WWII, the 1956th revolution, and now this with the WTC, I can't fall asleep easily either. Sometimes one or two hours for the whole night, the rest of the time just tossin' 'n turnin'. Heard some ol' people complainin' about this years ago - now I'm one of 'em.... ;) So, it comes natural to us - but what's your excuse da Gina? [IMG]

>sigh< Mr. Halo, I'd have to say it must be because I'm all backwards. I can't think to save my life when I need to-I'll sit right up at 4 am and give you a perfect explanation of how to build a microscope using only three ingredients commonly found in the kitchen. Inspiration truly comes right before dawn....there's a whole lot more but I only discuss that with my neurologist who can properly drug me and slap me upside the head. :D  Ha ha!

lack of sleep? Well I guess I can't complain. After all college students aren't suppose to sleep- right??? ;)

I average 4-6 hours during the week and usually end up sleeping 12 hours straight without waking up friday night. cwazy!

I'll admit the emotions I have gone through this past week are as follows: Tuesday, Wednesday: total disbelief. Thursday, Friday- anger but really compassionate towards our enemies (those who do not have a direct role with Usamo Bin Laden). Saturday, Sunday- blow'em out of the sky! I still don't advocate that we bomb entire cities, but I do understand the need for harsh, desisive(sp?) action.

'til Next Post, Adam

Hmmmm...wonder what would happen if a group of insomniac's such as us were left to make the decisions! Hee-hee....I shudder to think! I myself have been up for three days (thanks to this lovely time bomb sitting in my brain), and personnally, I think I'd be a little slap-happy myself if it were left to me. Give me a few days though and I'd just kind of nod and say "huh"

Ok, we should just make this our own little insomniac thread to come to when we can't sleep.
Sing ourselves little songs....
"And o'er it all the paley moon
Has gleaned her cusp in dew
And weeps to hear the sad sleep tune
I sing oh love to you!"
Something like that. Anyhow, Name That Tune!
Hmm. I wonder if I still have it around somewhere. I'll have to start going through stuff and checking. I know I used to. I'm sure my neighbors just love hearing me stomp around at two am looking for sleeping music. That's ok, I'm sure she's still up. You hear me neighbor?! You post here too, so if you're up and reading this, then hello! Ha ha!
Ok, that was fun.

But isn't it only like 10:30 there girlfriend? It's 2:30am here! You got time! Put on some fluffy bunny slippers, have some cocoa......wait, it's probably all warm and toasty there! It's pretty chilly out here! You're in CA, right?
You think you're bored???? *I'm* reading I.M. PEI, Mandarism of Modernism. THAT'S bored! But it DOES have some really cool pictures. [IMG]
>sigh<
I can never straight up admit how truly boring I am. There's always an excuse. Ok, ok, I LIKE architecture, ok? It's COOL!

I've found the PERFECT way to be able to fall asleep!!! I just wait until about 7am when I have to get all the boys up to start our day, never fails! That's when my body decides it would like to sleep...of course it's impossible so I think it's just it's way of saying "Ha-ha...gotcha again!"

Hmmmmm, here it is 3:05 am and I was sure I was the only Baptist still AWAKE LOL. I seem to have my days and nights backwards. It all started when I bought a new Serta bedroom set :( The first night I slept on it, I didn't wake up until noon the next day LOL So then I was not sleepy until 2:30 am the next morning and on and on it goes. Maybe I need to send the bed back huh! I am sure you're all VERY interested in my Serta bed dilemma :D Maybe I will sleep on da floor tonight, provided I get SLEEPY

I don't sleep well, either. I rarely sleep more than 4 hours at a time. Every little noise wakes me up. Even my husband's snoring!
But I found what puts me back to sleep the most soundly - it's reading the Bible. Maybe it's the peace I get from reading God's word.

Oh Paula. Don't be lonely!
I'm just the opposite. Don't like anything in my bed but me. I have to be able to stretch and flip my pillow over and be right in the middle, because if my toes reach the edge then I'm highly upset, LOL!
Ah, nothing like flipping your pillow over in the middle of the night. I'm making myself sleepy now.
Have you ever tried those sleepy-time teas?
I'm thinking maybe we should give it a try! I've also been going to sleep with my fan on and music, the sound helps. My husband used to HATE any sound at all, it had to be nothing, but I can't stand that. I have to have SOMETHING to drown out the deafening silence! [IMG]

Sleep? Its easy. A preacher once told me how. Go to bed and start reading your Bible. Satan will see to it that you are asleep before you make it through the first chapter. That's about the only thing I can think of that he is good for.
