“The system worked.” This was one of Al Sharpton’s slim offerings after being pressured to answer to the three teens (two of whom are black males) who viciously murdered Australian jogger, Chris Lane in broad daylight. Jesse Jackson tweeted a tepid, “Praying for the family of Chris Lane. This senseless violence is frowned upon and the justice system must prevail.” Meanwhile, our nation’s first black president, expert in class warfare and racial disharmony in black and white), has decided not even to say that the teens “acted stupidly” or that if he had a son, he could be Chris Lane.

And what about World War II veteran Delbert Belton? Two young black men savagely beat eighty-eight year old Belton to death in a parking lot in Spokane, WA. In Belton’s case as in Lane’s, the silence is deafening – and telling.:BangHead::BangHead:

I can just hear the comments (not reasons!!) about why this is just an equal but reverse "RACISM" - betcha can't guess who it'll come from!?

In this case I agree with Sharpton. There is no need to further sensationalize these incidents. And I'm glad Obama is keeping his mouth shut.

You SURE you chose the right screen name?

In the case of Lane, it became a story because of where he was from and the desire of the Drudges, Hannitys, and Limbaughs to make it into a contrast story to the Zimmerman/Martin story so that they could keep a demographic riled up.

Difference being for one story, the perpetrators were identified and arrested, in the other the perpetrator was identified and let go.

The WWI vet story deserved coverage because the guys who did it were still at large, NOT BECAUSE he was white and they were black.

So keep on banging your head. The anger seeping out can be heard.

Hmm. Seems to me, when it was suggested the liberal media did that with the Zimmerman-Martin case, to stir up the liberal-minority coalition, you thought that was absurd.

    :tonofbricks:

A man found "not guilty" cannot be considered a perpetrator. The jury sought information during deliberations to determine if self-defense ever had any mitigating circumstances under Florida law, and upon being told "no," promptly returned the verdict. You don't like it. We all know that. It does not change the fact that a jury of his peers -- all female minorities -- found Zimmerman did nothing wrong. Deal with it, and shut up about it.

Only one was at large, and still, ABC chose not to say one single, solitary word about the case on their evening newscast -- just as I predicted. Additionally, the meek mentions on CBS and NBC were hardly worthy of being called "reporting."

Banging our heads over your comments are not from anger, but disbelief at your hypocrisy, at least equal to that of black leadership.

    http://www.ocregister.com/articles/black-517516-trayvon-howard.html

Because Zimmerman, Trayvon's shooter, is un-black, whereas the shooters who took the young lives of Howard, Turnage and Jefferson were African American.
Indeed, when there is an alleged hate crime against a black victim, like Trayvon, it often becomes a cause célèbre in the black community in places like Sanford, Fla. If the circumstances are sensational enough, it just might become national news. Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton will come to town.
The victim will be portrayed as a latter-day Medgar Evers or Emmett Till – as Jackson described Trayvon. Bruce Springsteen will write a song in loving memory of the victim. An artistic tribute to the victim will go viral – like the image of Martin Luther King wearing a hoodie, a la Trayvon.
Ah, but if both victim and perpetrator are black, the black community is silent. The story is un-newsworthy. Jesse and Al don't bother to come to town. Bruce's muse betrays him. And the victim is not likened to such civil rights martyrs as Evers, Till and King.

One more that basically says the same!
Thanks, Zaac, you didn't disappoint me by coming out with both barrels blasting, as I predicted you would.
Looking for the same all over again with equal logic (????) as before.:tongue3:

Would seem wrong because I said the opposite. They were riled up and rightfully so because someone was murdered, they knew who did it, and no arrest was made.

He wasn't found guilty before the trial.

You mean like you need to deal with the cries of racism and shut up about it?

SO why don't you start another network of angry white men and report the news in anger all day, all the time the way you want to? Better yet, why don'tyou get a conservative talk show so that all the other angry people can call in and pat you on the back for expressing the anger they've wanted to express for so many years.

You haven't seen any hypocrisy in my statements. What you've seen is your judgment clouded by your anger at black people in general.

A cause célèbre? You mean like any time a blond haired, blue eyed white female goes missing and her being missing becomes the top news story on every network and cable newscast whereas lots of black females go missing every day and you rarely ever see any newscasts about them? That kid of cause célèbre?

Perhaps Blacks and the black "leadership" have figured out the game that the "news" people play is to pander to the crowd that will get them the highest ratings, and thus make them the most money as opposed to reporting on things that cater to just one segment of the population?

Perhaps they, as several of my friends have said, will listen to news broadcasts and hear how black suspects are always identified as such. "Police are looking for two armed Black men, about 5'8 to 6 feet, and approximately 25 to 30 years old. Whereas if they are White:"Police are looking for two armed men, about 5'8 to 6 feet, and approximately 25 to 30 years old."

I started paying attention, and lo and behold , they were correct. Why the blatant difference again and again in these characterizations?

A univesity of Georgia professor said of the dynamic of never seeing any missing Black, Asian, or Latin people on Dateline or any of the other network news shows back in 2005. He says:

Perhaps Black leaders recognize that if they don't bring a certain amount of celebrity to these cases, they'll get swept under the rug just as all the missing Black, Asian, and Latino missing female stories do?

Yep. And if she was a blond haired, blue eyed beauty queen from All-America Town , USA the media would automatically do what it takes Al and Jesse to do when it comes to Blacks.

You don't hear much from the White community about the white on white crime either.

I don't know anything about Bruce.

    Glad to oblige.
