FORMER TALIBAN CAPTIVES URGE BAPTISTS TO BOOST MISSION EFFORTS
(St. Louis-AP) -- Two missionaries who were imprisoned by the
Taliban for months have challenged the Southern Baptist Convention
to help this generation reach everyone with the Gospel.
Heather Mercer told the Baptists' annual meeting in St. Louis
that even if world evangelism costs the church everything, it
really will have cost nothing "because all we really wanted was
    Jesus anyway."
Dayna Curry told the Baptists that after Jesus healed her from
alcohol, drugs and an abortion, she realized that God was
broken-hearted too -- because so many people don't know Him.
Curry said that's why she became a missionary. In her words,
"Since God had healed my broken heart, I wanted to help heal
    His."

This lady in People magazine wrote a letter saying that she thought Heather and the other young woman were nuts, and that Christians force their beliefs on everyone etc..
I almost sent her a letter, and ended up not sending it to her, which I really regret.
People risk their lives for dangerous sports, for
politics, campaigns, the enviroment, animals and when they try to spread the Gospel of christ, it shakes up the enemy. Why is it worldly people (unsaved) sometimes push dark "art" , treat rock stars and celebrities as gods, and some people would even kill or sleep with anyone for money or power. The bottom line is, Love like that, takes awesome faith, not a lot of us would do it. It shows how God GLORIFIED Himself in them. That is
a major sacrifice and courageous act, and we may be someday put to the test ourselves.
The world gets more occult as I type this, and there are many strange things that are in process, a One World Religion, and I say HAVE CHRIST and SHARE HIM...It will be shameful before God's Throne not to share the TRUTH that breaks chains of the soul, unto Christ's Salvation.
