fossilized tree trunk was cut before being turned into rock

    Sure looks like it was.
    The side also look like damaged before fossilized by the same thing that cut it.
    The cut was almost complete and the wood broke, which is the part sticking up from the flat surface.
    Or just some mud.
    What do you think about it?
