Interesting article. I think that Huckabee's biggest negative is the case dealing with the murderer, which Coulter does not discuss. Huckabee's seems very confused on illegals, who should have no right to vote.

As for Fred Thompson, I am leaning towards him. The fact that he didn't vote to convict Clinton doesn't bother me too much. No President has ever been convicted after impeachment, although Nixon resigned before he could be tried.

I sorta tolerated FT as a Rebublican contender until I read about his vote on the impeachment fiasco. Clinton should not only have been impeached but incarcerated as well. Had FT and other Senators done their job it's unlikely we'd be facing President Hillary in '08. That may inadvertently become his true legacy.

    Just my two cents.

Well, Ivon, you are correct in a sense but in another sense, Clinton was not the first playboy in the White House. Harding is alleged to have fathered a child on a couch in a White House office, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt died with his mistress in Warm Springs, Georgia, as you know. And then there is John F. Kennedy, who couldn't keep his pants zipped for a minute. Clinton is just not much other than a glib socialist intellectual educated in Europe and always taking care of himself and always chasing women. There is no evidence that retirement has changed Bill Clinton. He cannot revive his reputation since Nine Eleven because we now know that he was too busy with his girlfriends to take care of US security.

I'm upset about perjury which is what he was impeached for. And Thompson clearly failed to uphold the law. If Hillary wins in '08 I wonder if he'll regret that vote.

Yes, but all of that was a long time ago in a place far away before there was such a thing as Nine Eleven, which caused men to put away childish things.

Bill Clinton was thrown out of the Arkansas bar and made to pay a fine. His reputation remains that of a lightweight playboy because that is all that the public sees. What good does it do you to be so intelligent if Jesus is not your Lord and Saviour and all of your time is spent chasing power and loose women?

The public did not want Clinton convicted. Most of them are dysfunctional also. They play the lottery and gamble at casinos, engage in adultery, and abuse substances--not to mention sharp business practices. A lot of them are hooked on nicotine. The majority are not born-again. America has a spiritual problem.

Me thinks you're reaching. Far. What on earth does Nine Eleven have to do with justifying perjury? And childish? Surely you jest.

The whole world has a spiritual problem. It has since Adam and Eve sinned and it will continue to have one until the second coming of Christ Jesus puts an end to this present universe.

Agreed. And doubtful it is that FT will numerically increase the born again status. That's really not a problem govt. can address.
