PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC–Former U.S. Senator Fred Thompson convincingly won the Georgetown County Republican Party presidential primary straw poll today with 46% of the votes, while second and third place finishers Congressman Ron Paul and Governor Mitt Romney had 18% and 17% respectively.

Remember, this is SOUTH CAROLINA. Guiliani had no chance there.

And McCain hurt himself in SC in 2000. Those folks have long memories in the Palmetto state.

    McCain, fork, done.
    Giuliani, NYC Republicans can't win.
Romney - too rich, too Mormon, and he's from MA. Ummmm...
    Tancredo - immigration, immigration, immigration
Hunter - redundant, too "Duke Cunningham"
Gingrich - not gonna happen, FDT's in..
Huckabee - watching, could happen, same's true w/Brownback (to a lesser degree - leaving FDT and Ron Paul

FDT- tagged, but from a perfect candidate IMO. Hillary will give him alot of trouble.

    Ron Paul. Sigh.

Ha, that's what I get for reading message boards:

Ron Paul, Ron Paul, Ron Paul, you'd think he was Hillary Clinton or something.

 What! Thompson and Ron Paul must have cheated to get these kind of votes. Anyway everybody knows that Ron Paul is a cheater cause Sean Hannity said so. But really on a more serious note I think reality is starting to sink into the skulls of the GOP. Giuliani, Romney and McCain are all wasted causes, they need to be dumped early.

I fear Hillary Clinton is going to give any Republican trouble. If there are two liberals running, like Clinton and Giuliani, I cant even imagine which one would carry the South and border states.

I think that Arkansas' electoral votes will go to Senator Clinton.
