Sad news for any person and more negative news affecting conservative Christians. So many politicians have used a conservative Christian, family values front to gain votes and then given that group a black eye through their immorality or illegal activities. Sad, sad, sad.

    You're right....

It would be far better that politicians not profess Christianity, like most liberals in the DNC.

Why are you trying to start an argument when there is none? This is the definition of trolling.

Get a life! What I said is truth. And directly related to this post. If anyone is trolling look in the mirror. You have been argumentative and confrontational since you came on board. It is clear you have a huge chip on your shoulder, an d a tree in your own eye.

What is not true with my statement? Address my comment and quit imposing your bias against me.

Like somebody in some book said, "your sin will find you out".
On the other hand, that same book shows how corrupt man can fall from grace, not only among men, but, also of God.
David was, in God's own word, "a man after his own heart".
Led Israel through countless victories, without a doubt loved God with all his heart, yet became a murderer, adulterer, outcast, in one fell swoop (in the eyes of Him to whom a thousand years is but a year).

It is good practice, if one is indeed a Christian, but a very public figure ( even if just a preacher in some small church) to look at oneself every morning, and throw oneself at the mercy of the living God, and KEEP ONE'S MOUTH SHUT ABOUT ONE'S CONSERVATISM AND CHRISTIANITY, because politics is a dirty world in a fallen world, and pitfalls along the way, like this one, abound.

It is my opinion that a true believer could not survive in today's world of hostile cut throat politics

Get a life? That is hilarious coming from the guy who started 61 threads last month. You immediately tried to to make this a liberal thing with your stupid dig at the DNC which has nothing to do whatsoever with the OP. Grow up. Confrontational? Troll? Spare me. McDonnell's fall has nothing to do with the DNC, he did it to himself. Own it.

    Probably so.

Ever notice that the vast majority of atheists are liberals?

That guy has done nothing, in his short time on this board, but attack conservatives. It is his entire mission here. I believe him/her to be another DNC operative trying to control Obama's message. Responding to it serves no purpose other than to entice it to continue its behavior.

Seems as though the clique wants to be the only voice on this board. How dare anyone challenge anything that they say while exposing their consistent behavior to be NOTHING like Christ?

    Politically conservative? Perhaps.

But the lot of ya are DEFINITELY spiritually liberal.

No worries. Look, I'll admit I have been confrontational. That partly stems from my first day posting. I was called a troll on one of my first five posts simply for debating a certain topic. I would like to post in a more relaxed manner and not have everything I say be taken as some liberal bias. I try to call things as I see them on a case by case basis.

I honestly don't think you and I are going to get along but I am going to make a conscience effort to avoid the petty bickering you and I always delve into. I'm willing to start fresh with you if you meet me in the middle. Fair enough?

Fair enough. We'll give it a try.

I am a solid conservative. I approach every subject from that viewpoint. I genuinely believe the democrat party and the leftist radicals that run it embody the worst policies this country has to offer.

We will have genuine differences of opinion. But it doesn't have to degenerate into a contest of personal insults.

    Peace.

I'm fine with this. Maybe we can reach common ground with sports. I am actually a die hard Cowboys fan. I know you are from Texas so I'm guessing it's either the Cowboys or Texans.

I went to Cowboys games when they were playing in the Cotton Bowl. Long time fan. They were terrible, but I could sit in the end zone for $2.

I have become disenchanted with them under Jerry Jones ownership. He needs to fire his general manager.

I'm still a fan, but not so diehard as I used to be.
