    Not fair, LE. The entire Hornblower series is on sale for half price, and now I'm trying to find an excuse to get it.

    We bought the Ancient Civilization set. Can hardly wait for it to ship!!! Now I must go check out the Hornblower series, my interest is piqued....

    ==Yea, I got in on that. I ordered "Desperate Crossing" on dvd. That is a great dvd. Very informative. For the most part they stick to the historical facts. I like that! I have several other sets (etc) from them.

    I got a $5.00 coupon in my email the other day so I guess I will be forced to buy yet another dvd :BangHead: .

    PS --- Our local library has Band of Brothers ---- but volumes 4-6 are missing!! Rats!!!

    You missed the bigsale; prices are still discounted, but the half-price offer is gone.

    However ... Discovery has a number of titles on sale (the excellent First World War series based on Hew Strachan's work is $19.95, as is the Walking the Bible set) and some are downright cheap. A four-segment history of Byzantium is $4.99.

    Just to report, I am absolutely thrilled with the bargains I ordered & received on the Discovery Channel. Very nice DVDs. The History Channel order has not arrived yet, on backorder they said.:tear:
