    The GAP theory would not be so bad if it were not for the fact that there is no possible way to come up with it from scripture.

    There are many false doctrines that have verses that can seem to be in support if taken out of context.

    The GAP theory is just a way to harmonize (compromise?) the Biblical account of creation with those who Suppress the KNowledge of God

    Like I said earlier, Gap Theory is a misnomer, since it is not is not a scientific theory.

    The definition of theory need not be scientific. From the dictionary:


    Abstract reasoning; speculation: a decision based on experience rather than theory.

    A belief or principle that guides action or assists comprehension or judgment: staked out the house on the theory that criminals usually return to the scene of the crime.

    An assumption based on limited information or knowledge; a conjecture.

    I should have emphasized that the Gap Theory is not a vaild scientific theory. Sorry for the ambiguity.
