This may be a google-generated ad but is there no way Baptist Board can filter what google runs on this site ? Or ask google to filter what runs on this site ?
Have we gone the "money way" ?

    gay and lesbian products ?

right beside the above is "Get to Know the Real Barack Obama"..

These ads were on top of the page of that thread on Greg Gilbert against music....

i am really, really seriously thinking of looking for another board.....

Report it to a moderator. They block these ads as they come up.

C4K gave some great advice on another thread concerning ads. He suggested all go to firefox and use their adblock filter.

It works great. Once you dl Adblock Plus for Firefox and install it, all you have to do is right click an ad and choose block.

You will have no more problems with that ad.

If you filter it it is still there for others to see, the BB is still making money from it. Doesn't matter if it's seen or not, promoting homosexuality is still happening on the BB because of ads like that. IS a sin only a sin when people see it?

Yea, even if all of us get firefox and don't see the ads, other people that visit still see the ads. It's not a sin if it brings in money.

I once had a racy cartoon that kept popping up. I believe it was tinytim who suggested I clear my cookies, that it could be my doing that it came up as google picks up what you are surfing.

I previously visited a joke site which included clean and racy adult jokes so I figured that was why. After clearing my cookies & cache, I believe they never popped up again.

Firefox blocks the ads well, haven't had many problems since using it.

I agree with you on the gay and lesbian ad. I would go further on the political ad and have NO political ads displayed here.

Yes, those of you seeing these ads, clean your cookies.. and see if that helps.. I have yet to see anything racy here on BB...

Blackbird, when you go to the council, have them check to see if the google ads are based on tracking cookies on individual's computers...

If so, then people need to be careful where they surf... google may tell the tale of where you been by showing you the ads that relate to where you've been...

Or someone else using your computer..

Which case probably explains why I keep getting Nintendo WII ads. We bought the kids one for Christmas. LOL!

Latest Google search had something to do with a kid's report on Tony Dungy. Wonder what kind of ads that will attract? LOL!

Great!!! now google knows I am on a diet... I got an ad titled 10 rules losing belly fat... That could be a tracking cookie linked to my posts on the gluttony thread...

The google ads appear according to what is being discussed in the threads on the BB.

That is why all sexual threads must go in the private forums...so they won't trigger these ads.

There is a list of ads in the Mod forum for Andrew to block.

    We're still waiting................

With a title like this thread has, expect to see a lot more of the inappropriate ads.

The ebay ads I see are usually for stuff I've never searched eaby for. Haven't seen any discussions about PS3.

Sue, that may be somewhat true, but why am I getting WV ads that others don't get? And I have yet to see that ad even on this thread.

It is like google has me pegged... every ad I see is tied in to where I have been on the internet.

But when I clear my cookies, I get other ads that have nothing to do with my search history...

I still think google has a way of using tracking cookies to link ads to where we have been on the net...
