I saw it and it was OK.

Two thoughts: I spent $7 on the ticket to get into the movie and $7.50 for candy and a bottle of water. For $14,95, Wal-Mart is selling the complete Get Smart TV series on DVD. Would've been better off to by the DVDs at Wal-Mart and see the movie later on DVD.

Sometimes I'll get together with friends and we'll start talking about the Pink Panther movies. It's funny; you can simply mention one of the scenes, such as the laughing gas scene, and everyone starts chuckling. After all these years, it's just that funny. The Get Smart movie is funny, but there is nothing in it that is that memorable.

Having grown up with Get Smart I'm sure it will at the least be enjoyable. Will the "younger" generation that never saw the show on TV enjoy it as well, or is it more for those who understand the basics of the show?

    Thanks for the input!

The movie made me want to go to Wally-World and purchase the series on DVD.

According to Walmart.com, and the reviews, Get Smart: The Complete Series is not actually the entirety of the show. It is only 7 episodes with bonus material.

Wally World, now that brings back memories. Many years ago my wife and I had matching "I'm going to Wally World" t-shirts and wore them to Disneyworld for the day. OK, so we were young, just married, and not a care in the world. Exactly one person looked at us and laughed. Well, maybe it was more than one, but the rest were doing it behind our backs.

That's a good point. I haven't seen one of those around for years! I thought the real estate prices got the best of all of them. Great venue!
