Would anyone know of the easiest and best way to record a sermonette right into my computer and then burn it on to a CD? I am finding a few options for software when it comes to burning it on to a CD, but I still have not been able to figure out exactly how to get it into the computer in the first place. I'm looking into having some sermonettes sent to a local radio station. I prefer them on a CD so I can edit them easily for the correct length. These would probably be 5, 10 or 15 minutes long. Specifically, what hardware and software would I need, and where could I get it?

    Thanks in advance

You need a good microphone that will plug into your computer...get a good one. The cheapo $10 computer mics are not radio quality mics and most broadcasters would probably refuse material recorded with them. Then download "Audacity" from http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
This is a great audio recording program that will also allow you to edit. When you are done recording click on "file" the "export as wave" you can then burn that file to a cd!
Another good program is Goldwave Digital Audio Editor. This program can also record but it is only an evaluation program...much better then Audacity though,,,,only because it has more editing features. It can be found at http://www.goldwave.com/
    Hope This helps!
