God is awesome

    I'm pretty sure that this is the wrong place to post this, and I will happily delete this if people ask, however....

    I am fairly new to praying and to Christianity, this afternoon I said a prayer to God and Jesus, nothing in particular but just saying thank you. All afternoon I have been feeling amazing, so happy and at peace.

    My life has totally changed since coming to Christianity, I just want to tell everyone.....

    Praise the Lord!!

    There is an old song I like to sing called "Beside the Gospel Pool", and I love the last stanza lines of it.

    No, He is full of Grace,
    He never will permit.
    A soul that fain should see His face,
    To perish at His feet.

    Not one sinner who comes to Him in faith believing, will He turn away. Yes, our God is an awesome God!!

    Thank you all for your positive comments...

    I have found a local Baptist Church, with a really nice Pastor who has so much to give, a wonderful Church family who are always there for eachother, and a great community too. I am on a course called Christianity Explored, which is being led by our Pastor and Assistant Pastor.

    God is, indeed, awesome!

    Often, the term "awareness of His presence" comes to mind as I've searched for words to describe the impact He's had on my life. Especially in the last two years.

    Praise the Lord that you're sharing in that "awareness" today.

    That's a great saying! As is the notion of awareness of his presence. I am so glad that I have been called to be a Christian. I am enjoying reading and studying as much as I can. His word is very good indeed.

    It was refreshing to read your posts. Welcome to the heirship of God.

    I think sometimes we make a point to pray at certain times (which is good), we also go to God quickly in times of desperation, but sometimes we need to just need to pray and thank God for the good things (even when we think they are scarce).

    How encouraging to read your post. Of course, the devil will now be doing his utmost to try to get you to stop believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, so you will need to make use, as all Christians do, of the spiritual armour described in Ephesians 6.10-18.
