God Is So Good To Me!

I went by the our house yesterday to cut the grass, and had no reason to go inside since Jeanne and I had been there on Tuesday to see the progress on repairs. I went in anyway, and sitting in the dining room were 5 boxes of our personal stuff that I had thought was lost in the fire.

The boxes contained our Wedding pictures, baby pictures of the kids, both Jeanne and my High School Diplomas, both kids and my baby books, lots of other family pictures, and my grandfathers gold pocket watch. Most of the photo's look to be OK. We will probably have to throw out the albums but who cares. The only thing of financial value was the watch and that value doesn't mean near as much as me having it.

A contents company came and inventoried everything in the house, the sent us a copy of the inventory, and all of this stuff was not on the inventory we were sent. The items in the boxes were from different parts of the house so someone had to put it in boxes. It was not in the house when Jeanne and I were there on Tuesday, it was there when I went in on Sat.

Who could have saved all of these things of sentimental value? The only one who could have done it was God!

That is possible explaination, Joe. Another is that God directed someone to do it, or may have simply shaped events so that we would have these items. I can say that these items went through the fire because the albums and boxes smell like smoke.

I will be calling the contractor to see what they, and also the contents company, but in the end these boxes were there for me because God wanted me to find them.

We have learned absoutly nothing about where they came from. The company that did our contents had not been in the house in over a month, and the contractor says they didn't find anything in the house.
