    God is still creating?

Seems more like man is still discovering.

    Still,

one or two pictures doesn't prove much to me. Could just be an animal we know all about caught in an odd pose that makes it indistinct.

I think God did all the creating in the beginning. We've just got around to finding this little guy.

Borneo was thoroughly "explored" during WW2 as American, Australian, & Japanese forces tried to find ways through the jungle. While their primary objective was not to catalogue the fauna & flora of the place, of course, there were thousands of survivors from both sides, and outta all those people, I'm sure someone in one of those armies noted all the wildlife they encountered.

And I know Borneo is a big island, but it's been continually inhabited for centuries by people who likely know all the wildlife there, down to the smallest insect. We'll just hafta wait-n-see how this pans out.

There's nothing in Scripture where God says He will not create any new species of life. And many people don't know that today there is less than 10% of all the known species of life now living.

If this is a new species, then it has clearly been looked over. That's all.

Gen 2:1-3 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

    Yep, God's done...

Creation is finished. Formation may not be. If the animal is a variation of another animal there on the island, no big deal. But it most certainly is not a new creation. That was finished a long time ago in the first week.

God created in 6 days and finished. We are still constanlty finding undiscovered species. Just because we haven't found soemthing yet does not mean it doesn't exsist, same as just because we just found it does not mean it didn't exsist till now.

Do miracles, such as feeding the 5000, qualify as "creation"? Why or why not?

    I suspect it's likely both.

I don't think the multiplication of fish and bread supports the theory that God is still creating complex biological organisms.

OK, ignore the source on the following link. I did a Google on a story that came up a while back. Please note that this link contains legitimate links (such as newspapers and TV stations) and look at the animal. If this animal is in San Antonio (and apparently Maryland) and has never been seen, how much more likely is it that one could be in a jungle and not be seen?

    Weird animal

BTW, from what I remember when the first animal was shot, a bioligist stated that the skin was brittle, the ear broke off, and the blood was coagulating immediately.

BTW, the reason that I did not Google and find a different source is because the links contained in this source are reliable.

There was a one time creation event that took place over a six day period, then God rested and did not return to creating.

God wasn't tired when He "rested"...He merely ceased from what He'd been doing. In each of the 6 days, God merely said, "Let there be....", and it at once came to be. Nowhere did He say, "I shall not make anything else upon the earth".

Also, there's a recent story of a new bird species found in Brazil near a city of some 100k pop.
    http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/1998/04/24/breeds/main7979.shtml

There are more news stories about this bird; simply Google search "lowland tapaculo", the English name for this bird.

I still think it's more likely that it's either a mutation of an existing species (which we witness periodically) or just a species without many examples that we haven't yet witnessed.
