Who is making excuses?.. Ang was there where she should have been ... teaching teamKID.. I was where I was to be.. ministering to a family that had a trauma...

Do you not have a heart for hurting people?
You blast away other people here on BB because you think you are sinless...
    I wish I was sinless...
I wish I could not sin..
And I guess that since you believe Christians should not agree to disagree, you will have to finally agree with me, because I am right on this one...
There are sometimes I question my decisions... but this one is backed up by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and is exactly what he would do...

He spoke to people like you. And his words were not pretty. He didn't mince words when he dealt with the self righteous...He loved the downtrodden and hurting.. and rebuked the pharisees.. which is what you sound like.

I still can't believe I am debating with a pastor about whether or not it is right to go to the ER during a wed. night service! I don't believe it....

    I have seen everything now...
What's next... it is a sin to not have preaching at every service...

I bet you would advocate that wouldn't you...
I bet you would say that if there is no preaching there is no service...
    hmmmm

what if that was my child i have 5 of my own and if one of them is sick and in the hospital i would be there and i know God would approve because he gave me that child to look after and care for not a hospital staff just like he put tim in our church to look after us (the flock) and when we need him he is there we dont have to be in the church building to worship because we are the church and we can praise God any where anytime there is no rules where we have to be

It's so nice to meet you, ang.v! I can tell you've got a good work going on out there!

    HBSMN,
I don't even know what to say. You are not going to be held responsible for what TinyTim does within his congregation - TinyTim is the one who will answer to God for how he pastors North Mill Creek Baptist Church. He is the one who answers as to whether or not he was listening to the leading of the Holy Spirit when he answered the call of a family in need and went to minister to them at the ER. You don't know because you weren't the one who got the call - it's not your call to criticize here either.

A pastor's job is not only preaching within the four walls of the church's building. His job reaches out to the church members wherever they are and whenever they need him. (Partly why I was rather offended at the implication on the first page of this thread that a pastor's job is NOT really full-time.......pastors work more than 50-60 hrs a week - they are on-call 24/7). So to say that a pastor is doing wrong by answering an urgent call that he was needed somewhere else, is to not really understand a pastor's heart. He did not leave his church "high and dry" with no leadership and no teacher for the night. He was taking care of someone who really needed him more tonight. And he showed the love of Jesus.

There seems to be some discrepancy in your stories guys. Tim, you said:
    Ang, you said:
Now, either your pastor is lying when he said twice that only 5 were with him at the ER tonight and the rest were back in services... or his youth leader is lying when she said that her and the rest of the church family was there.

Don't bother praying for me, pray for each other. It appears both of you are making this whole story up to make hypothetical... no, pathetical... excuses for missing Church.

I am getting tired of going round and round... lets just leave HBSMN alone and jsut pray that God will act on his part...
Arguing is not going to change anything...
Let's agree to disagree and leave it at that... after all, this thread should have been closed a few pages back since it has gone over 30 pages...

HBSMN, I know you are a brother in Christ... And I will pray that God blesses you by showing you his love, then allowing you to show it to others...

no one is lying the 5 that was at the ER was the injured boy, his mother, step father, uncle and aunt....
I don't think Ang even knew the uncle and aunt were at the ER.. .but I did.. the rest were at church ministering to others...

I ministered to the 5 in the ER.. the victim and the 4 relatives...
Ang ministered to the youth, and another guy ministered to the adults at the church..

let's call this quits... it is not edifying anymore...when you resort to calling me and my members pathetical liars.. I have no use for you or your kind...
You need prayer brother... and a deep love for others that can only be found by spending time with Christ...
My advice take some time off BB and go spend time with Christ.. .you might learn something.

    Good night...
Ang.. don't respond.. it will do no good...
Thanks all others let's pray for him before we go to bed tonight...

do you really not get it? Honestly? It seemed crystal clear to me that ang.v was referring to herself being back at church with many of the other church members and knowing where her pastor was and approving of it. I mean the good lady youth leader was also referred to as having faithfully taught her class tonight.

Do you really not see this? or are ya just tired?
