    Hey...

I found something really great. It's:

    http://www.allquartetsradio.com

24 hour quartet music online. You can listen to Southern Gospel Quartet music while you harass fellow believers on the Baptist Board!!

    I don't think so....lol.

I believe most of the old quartets started in the Bible Belt. Hence the name "Southern Gospel Quartet".

It really has to do with the style more than the locale...

    Sue,

I had no idea that it had been around for that long. I have lots of friends into SG music and just now found it. Any other great secrets you're witholding from us? :D

Pastor Bob told me about that station shortly after I got my computer Jim. I am hooked on it!!!

The only other secret I have is the spell checker that works ANYplace...even on the BB! It is a free download.

Christian songs and hymns done as Barber Shop would probably qualify as "Northern Gospel." The quartet I sing with does both.

BARBERSHOP? NOW WE'RE TALKING! Com'on and sing along with me . .

Lida Rose, I'm home again, Rose
To get the sun back in the sky
Lida Rose, I'm home again, Rose
    About a thousand kisses shy

    Ding dong ding
I can hear the chapel bell chime
    Ding dong ding
    At the least suggestion
    I'll pop the question

Lida Rose, I'm home again, Rose
Without a sweetheart to my name
    Lida Rose, how everyone knows
That I am hoping you're the same

So here is my love song
    Not fancy or fine
Lida Rose, oh won't you be....
Mine, Lida Rose, oh Lida Rose,
    Oh Lida Rose...

    Dream of now
    Dream of then
    Dream of a love song
    That might have been

    Do I love you?
    Oh yes, I love you
    And I'll bravely tell you
But only when we dream again

    Sweet and low
    Sweet and low
    How sweet that mem'ry
    How long ago

    Forever
    Oh yes, forever
    Will I ever tell you?
    Oh no.

    (Lida Rose/Sweet and Low
    Lyrics from Music Man

Thanks for the link Jim. It took a couple of tries to get it going, but it's going strong even as I type this.

Glad you enjoy it, thanks for the kind words. I notice that it chews up very little bandwidth, it can run while working the BB even with a dial-up connection.

I can enjoy "southern gospel quartet" singing only if the singers are each playing a bluegrass instrument!

Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Dobro, and Bass! :D

    God bless,
