See there - Im not disputing that sinful man cant do wordly good - oh lets use Princess Dianna (assuming she was not a Christian) - she did much worldly good - she also did much evil

the point is the good works she did count for nothing - her righteousness was as filthy rags - since her good deeds were based in improper motives - thus they are not good but evil - however they are technically not sin - since Im also assuming she honestly did try and do good without ulterior motives.

The only motive that is acceptable is that of honouring God.

    Simple

When you do that; you do good in the eyes of God
When you dont; it is not good; but it may not be sin

Agree that fallen man can repent, but this is not repentance to salvation.

Agree that fallen man can believe, but this is not faith to salvation.

Fallen man DOES do all kinds of good things in the sight of himself and his fellow man, but NOT good in the sight of God.

All our righteousness (see, they ARE in appearance to us - our - righteous) are to God as filthy rags.

There is NONE that do good
There is NONE that seek after God

    So we disagree.
